I got involved in this business in 2007 while building a property business and I nearly dismissed the idea before I properly understood it.
I wasn’t looking to get a job that would take me away from my home and children and tie me down to rigid hours.

What I love about that is the fact that being self employed you can work when you want and take time off when you need as well without having to ask permission from anybody.
Don’t wait till you’re thirsty to dig a well.
This part time business has helped me out loads. I’ve reduced my hours at work.

What it’s given us is the ability to live life on our terms, have the flexibility to be around for our children.
My name is Penny I got involved in this business at the age of 42. At the time I was a police officer on the child protection unit. Juggling shift work and bringing up a 3 and 6 year old along with my hubby. I started my business initially for an extra couple of hundred pounds to help to pay for the breakfast and after school clubs. I quickly realised I enjoyed it more than being the police and I set a plan to leave the police, which I was able to do 10 years earlier than I would have retired normally. Its enabled me to also be there for our youngest daughter who has medical conditions which required frequent hospital stays. Priceless as I was there for her 24/7 something that I wouldn’t have been able to do had I still been working....
When I joined the business, I wasn’t actively looking for an opportunity. I certainly wasn’t looking for an exit income. However, I did realise I didn’t want to teach until I was 65, and I knew my work life balance was dipping the wrong way.
Since I joined the business, I have gradually reduced my teaching hours leading to retirement at 56.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to do completely in your own time. It’s not something you need to dedicate hours and hours to.
My name is Dave and i’m 48, I joined the business 12 years ago
David, 53 Office Manager. I got involved initially for something different to do to keep my mind active. What I found was that if you put in the work then the rewards are amazing and has allowed me over the years to become more of a “Yes” dad rather than “I’ll think about it”.
David. 61 years old. Self employed African Drum and music teacher.
As a self employed MII, i.e. a Multi Income Individual, being introduced to this opportunity was like a gift. I now have the opportunity to work when I like, for as many hours as I like, for as long as I like, and, to be paid handsomely.
This post sits alongside my other passion, I.e. music, so now I can alternate between it and my music life.
